While the military government is still going ahead to legitimate and secure their power and their individual family wealth , the people in the city of Yangon and villages of delta area in lower Burma are now facing death, loss of homes and starvation due to the cyclone Nargis. The official death toll is over 20,000 with over 40,000 people lost as of today.  There will be many more death and the main problem of aftermath is yet to come. News!

Many now live in monasteries in cities in delta area since their villages are gone and their paddy fields are flooded. Who can help who when every family is struggling for survival. Irrawaddy river's delta area is once the rice bowl of Asia where the most acreage of paddy fields were.

While the people in the city struggle with what they have to repair the roofs of their houses and store some water and rice for the expected shortage, the homeless villagers will become beggars till they can go back to their lands and re build their villages.

The military has their soldiers to help the cities but they will not have cash nor goods nor even the tools to help rebuild the victims.

I hope they allow the international organizations to help these people . They do not have any resources nor expertise for this kind of disaster.

There is a donation button on this site TODAY!.

The cash will be sent to Yangon office via Singapore office where there will be a fund for victims.

Hey Thanks Alvin,

Actually you can donate through Singapore groups.
I will let you know in detail for you. I already have people in Yangon who also have cash there sitting so there is no problem to do things. They can use their office cash before I go there or someone from Singapore go there. They do not use banks there.

Will keep you posted. I will only put up paypal for one day.

Thanks again,
