Donation receipt

Received from Alvin from Singapore - 75 USD.

Thanks Alvin, for your generous offer to send more for chain saw purchase. On second thought , an American man carrying a chain saw going into Burma right now can be regarded as a Rambo. We have to give up the idea to be safe. We still want to go back to my country whoever there is guarding , to be with the people, to help the country.

Everyday the local newspapers here show the destruction and despair of Burma. Our friends and relatives in US are calling us, asking us whether our dear family and friends at home are okay. We replied them not to worry, that they may loose their roofs but they are still alive. We feel saddened by the scenes of delta area destruction and death and the aftermath and so annoyed with the political cyclone between the military and others. In the end the image of the country gets worse by each day and people miss their chance for help. A life in Asia is not regarded as precious as a life in the West. The same with freedom and human rights. How can we narrow this gap if there are animosity, ignorance , pride and aggression on all sides.

As much as we Burmese hate to beg, this cyclone has shown us how deprived we were.

I put up the paypal button ( finally cannot resist the wonders of internet ! I am in love with the technology ) and Wow! Alvin the Sumeddha shin yethe blessed it as the first person to donate.

Now I have the duty to get it used properly so Alvin can gain good merits for his present and future life.

Sadu Sadu Sadu.

Blessed are the people (mayburma and her dear husband) who had the idea first.

Karma is volition... hence both of you have acquired good karma by simply having the kind thoughts.

I believe that for this, both of you will be blessed with merits and joy together in future lives.

Sadhu, sadhu, sadhu!
