PS : I have sent cheques to amima an NGO org and the following is their acknowledgement.
This is to acknowledge that we had received two donation checks to AMIMA that you had forwarded. A $75 from Lee Soon Chai and a $100 from Sandra Calhorn. A receipt for Sandra at the Arizona address had been mailed out. I haven't sent out a receipt to L.S.Chai at Singapore though since it requires a trip to the post office which I haven't been able to make. Do you want me to?

I request others to donate to www.amima.net site . They have a non profit set up and can issue receipts for tax exemption for US citizens.

Don't get too stressed handling our donations.
Personally, I do not mind if mine is re-donated to other non-profit organisations. They have the strength of number in terms of human resources and probably very good direct contacts with locals in Myanmar.
In any way, you are doing good work here. Every little effort count towards providing relief for cyclone victims.

My own resources are efficient and effective in our own way but I do not want to start something big impulsively yet. We are planning to be there in June and we can do a lot there.
