Sad Feelings

Frustrations and sadness

overwhelmed all of us

hearts are sinking , hatred deepening

pity the victims from Irrawaddy delta

poor before and now penniless

without shelter - without food

relief came late haphazardly

here and there -missing everywhere

what can we do from far

even the people inside the country 

cannot help much efficiently

permissions needed everywhere

heavy rain expected

will it clear the diseases and provide drinking water

will it wash them again hopefully not

let it be a peaceful rain and not a forceful angry one

let it stop before drenching the roofless homes

let it be a sweet sweet rain

which will cleanse the Nargis effect.
